My book: "Jawel, ik zing terwijl ik inadem!"Release of my first book, in Dutch language.Digitalization, electronics, and robotics have made their entrance into music and music technology since the early 20th century. Composers and musicians are not only seeking an expansion and broadening of the sound palette of musical instruments but also of the human voice. To widen the sound idiom of the singing voice, Extended Vocal Techniques (EVT) are being developed, vocal techniques that can generate new sounds. Originally, these techniques were primarily used within experimental music genres, but nowadays they are increasingly being applied in other genres such as jazz, pop, and even classical music. This has not only led to greater freedom and diversity in the sound possibilities of the human voice but also provides the performer with better vocal control and greater expressiveness. The Belgian soprano and composer Françoise Vanhecke adds to this with her groundbreaking inhaling singing technique (ISFV® or Inhaling Singing Voice).
My book is available now at Pelckmans Uitgevers.
